Grain production in Uzbekistan up 4.8%

Uzbekistan’s agricultural enterprises produced more than 8.8 million tons of grain in 2024 with annual growth of 4.8%, the Statistical Agency reported.
Of this volume, farmers produced 7 million tons of grain, dekhkans – 733,600 tons, and agricultural organizations – 1 million tons.
Among the regions, Fergana region became the leader in grain cultivation – 998.5 thousand tons. Then come Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions – 903.3 thousand and 893.5 thousand tons respectively.
The lowest production volume was noted in Syrdarya region – 578.4 thousand tons, Karakalpakstan – 345.5 thousand tons, Navoi region – 266.2 thousand tons.
Earlier Kursiv Uzbekistan wrote that Uzbekistan plans to produce 3.2 million tons of meat this year.
