Grain harvest in Azerbaijan exceeds 3 million tons
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, as of October 1, since the beginning of 2023, the country’s farms have produced 3.1 million tons of grain crops (including corn). This figure is 1.7% higher than in January-September 2022.
The production of sunflower seeds in the specified period remained at the last year’s level and is estimated at 26.6 thsd tonnes, while the sugar beet harvest decreased by 17.4% to 47.79 thsd tonnes.
It is also reported that the volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in January-September 2023 amounted to almost AZN 10 billion, which is 3% higher than in the same period in 2022.
At the same time, the volume of livestock production is estimated at AZN 4.54 billion (an increase of 3.5%), and in crop production – at AZN 5.46 billion (+2.5%).
