Grain from Ukraine is to be expanded to include corn and peas

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food have agreed on a preliminary list of products that Ukraine can provide to other countries with the support of the UN World Food Program under the Grain from Ukraine initiative.
This was reported by the Office of the President following a meeting between Presidential Advisor Vladyslav Vlasiuk and representatives of the UN World Food Program.
As noted, further expansion of the Grain from Ukraine initiative is planned this year.
WFP Director in Ukraine Richard Ragan noted that the organization is interested in oil, and will also consider purchasing corn, wheat, and peas. He also emphasized that WFP is currently working to speed up the process of supplying products, in particular to Syria.
“Assistance to Syria is a very important topic for the President of Ukraine. This is the help from the Ukrainian nation to the people of Syria, who, like us, know well what it means to suffer because of the Russians. We would like to continue our cooperation in ensuring food security,” said Vladyslav Vlasiuk.
