Grain exports from Ukraine exceeded 8 mln tons

The export volume of grains and pulses from Ukraine in 2023/24 MY as of October 20 amounted to 8 mln tonnes, down 3.5 mln tonnes or 30% compared to the same period last season. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, since the beginning of the season, 4.07 mln tons of wheat have been shipped, which is 7% less than last year.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 656 thousand tons, which is 31% less than last year.
Rye was shipped in 0.8 thsd tonnes (-87%).
Ukraine exported 3.2 mln tons of corn, down 49% from the same date last season.
Ukraine exported 40.3 thsd tonnes of flour, up 25% year-on-year.
For reference: in 2022/23 MY, the exports of grains and pulses totaled 49 mln tonnes: wheat – 16.8 mln tonnes, barley – 2.7 mln tonnes, rye – 18 thsd tonnes, corn – 29.1 mln tonnes, flour – 153.6 thsd tonnes.
