Grain exports from Ukraine exceeded 39 mln tons
As of April 19, in 2023/2024 MY Ukraine exported 39 mln 059 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 1 mln 033 thsd tonnes or 1.02 times less than last year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Exports of Ukrainian wheat amounted to 15 million 106 thousand tons, which is 1 million 372 thousand tons or 1.09 times more than last year.
Also, Ukrainian farmers exported 2 mln 139 thsd tonnes of barley and 200 thsd tonnes of rye for the first time since the beginning of 2024 (in total, 1.2 thsd tonnes of this crop were exported since the beginning of 2023/2024 MY).
The export of Ukrainian corn amounted to 21 mln 515 thsd tonnes, which is 2 mln 126 thsd tonnes or 1.09 times less than last year.
In addition, 84.2 thou tons of flour (or 112.3 thou tons in terms of grain) were exported, which is 39.3 thou tons or 1.46 times less than last year.
The preliminary data on grain and pulses exports were published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on April 17. According to them, in 2023/2024 MY, 38 mln 608 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses were exported.
As a reminder, the exports of agricultural products in the first half of 2023/24 MY are 17% lower than last year.
