Global soybean oil exports exceed 1 mln tons in July

Soybean oil exports from 5 major supplier countries increased to 1.2 million tons in July compared to 986 thousand tons in the same period of 2024 and 908 thousand tons in June of this year, according to analysts at Oil World (Germany).
In particular, shipments from Argentina increased to 738 (660) thousand tons, Paraguay – 62 (52) thousand tons and Ukraine – 55 (29) thousand tons, while exports from Brazil and the USA decreased to 138 (201) thousand tons and 29 (44) thousand tons, respectively.
India was the largest importer of bean oil in July – 507 (380) thousand tons, the EU imported 81 (39) thousand tons, China – 61 (159) thousand tons, Peru – 48 (15) thousand tons.
Overall, since the beginning of the year, global soybean oil exports reached 6.58 million tons against 5.44 million tons in January-July 2024, of which Argentina shipped 4.05 (3.81) million tons. India imported 3.19 (2.26) million tons.
