Global rapeseed production in 2023/2024 MY will amount to 88.1 mln tonnes

The global rapeseed production in 2023/2024 will be the second largest in the last five years. According to the estimates of the US Department of Agriculture, the global rapeseed production in 2023/2024 will be 88.1 mln tonnes, which is slightly less than the previous year, for the last five years. Judging by the changes in rapeseed production in the main producing countries, in 2023/2024 India increased the production by 1.2 mln tonnes, Canada increased the production by 0.1 mln tonnes, and the European Union increased the production by 0.4 mln tonnes. Rapeseed production in major producing countries such as China, Australia, and Russia decreased.

As for the production of rapeseed oil, according to the US Department of Agriculture, the world production of rapeseed oil in 2023/2024 will amount to 33.8 million tons, which is 1.2 million tons more than in the forecast a month earlier. The European Union increased production in different ways.
