Soybean meal exports from German oilseed mills since the beginning of the marketing year (July to November 2025) totaled 741,000 tons, 11% less than exports for the same period in 2024. At the same time, 537,000 tons of rapeseed meal were supplied to the global market, a 22% decrease compared to the previous year, according to the German Union for the Promotion of Oilseed and Grain Cultivation (UFOP), citing data from the Federal Statistical Office.

According to the study, the majority of rapeseed and soybean meal produced in Germany is exported to other EU countries. As in previous years, the main recipients are ports in the Netherlands.

From July to November 2025, approximately 200,000 tons of rapeseed meal were sold to the neighboring country, a 30% decrease compared to the same period last year. Denmark received approximately 87,000 tonnes, a 2% decrease but still returning to second place among the most important buyers. Rapeseed meal exports to Sweden, Finland, and Switzerland were also below the previous year’s figures. Germany shipped 42,000 tonnes to France, only slightly less than in the first five months of the 2024/25 marketing year.

Soybean meal is also primarily sold within the EU. The Czech Republic is currently the largest buyer. From July to November 2025, Germany shipped 148,000 tonnes, almost matching the previous year’s volume. However, shipments to Poland increased sharply, increasing from 96,000 to 106,000 tonnes.
