France lowers soft wheat harvest and export forecasts
The state agency FranceAgriMer reduced its forecast for the gross harvest of soft wheat in the current season to 23.52 million tons (July forecast – 27.25 million tons, last season – 31.73 million tons). The export forecast was reduced to 10.11 (14.11 and 16.63) million tons, including 6.0 (6.5 and 6.29) million tons to EU countries and 4.0 (7.5 and 10.23) million tons to non-EU countries.
Wheat imports will rise to 0.25 (0.2 and 0.12) million tons.
Transitional stocks will fall to 2.74 million tons, down 13.5% from last season’s level.
