France is interested in cooperation with Ukraine in the agricultural sector
France and Ukraine have re-established the Entrepreneurs’ Council to overcome each other’s fears in the context of EU integration.
Deputy Foreign Minister for Foreign Trade Nicolas Faurissier said this at a briefing in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We have fears about the agricultural sector on both sides. The French are afraid that Ukraine is very strong and can destabilize the EU market, France. On the other hand, Ukrainians are afraid that they are not expected in the EU. Of course, Ukraine and France are the two main agricultural countries in Europe. So instead of having fears, we will cooperate more,” he said.
Faurissier noted that French companies are most interested in cooperation in the energy sector, infrastructure, transport, and agriculture.
