First million hectares sown with winter crops in Ukraine
As of September 17, Ukraine has sown 1 million hectares of winter grain crops, according to Agriculture Minister Vitaliy Koval.
By crops sown:
- wheat – 340.3 thsd hectares
- barley – 16.5 thsd hectares;
- rye – 3.4 thsd hectares;
- rape – 688.4 thsd hectares.
The winter rapeseed sowing campaign was completed in Volyn, Rivne, Ternopil and Lviv regions.
