FAO appoints acting head of the office in Ukraine

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has appointed Mohammed Azouka, a Jordanian national, as acting head of the FAO office in Ukraine, the organization’s press service reports.
Under Mr. Azuka’s leadership, FAO Ukraine aims to strengthen cooperation with the Government of Ukraine and partners to address both immediate humanitarian needs and long-term agricultural development.
“FAO remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine’s agricultural recovery during the war. The resilience of Ukrainian farmers and rural families is truly inspiring, and we are committed to helping them rebuild their food production and livelihoods, ensuring a sustainable future for the country’s agri-food systems,” said Mohammed Azuka, Acting Head of FAO’s Ukraine office.
