Export of Ukrainian rye is 13 times higher than last year
The volume of exports of grains and pulses from Ukraine in MY 2024/25 as of October 11 amounted to 11.74 mln tonnes, up 58% compared to the same period last season.
This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, 6.8 mln tons of wheat were shipped this season, which is 81% higher than last year. Thus, 42% of wheat was exported out of the total volume agreed in the grain memorandum (16.2 mln tons).
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 1.6 mln tons, which is 2.4 times more than in the same period last year.
The company shipped 10.5 thsd tons of rye, which is 13 times more than last season (0.8 thsd tons).
Ukraine exported almost 3.1 mln tons of corn, up 8% compared to the same date last season.
Flour exports from Ukraine amounted to 21.2 thsd tonnes, down 45% year-on-year.
For reference: in 2023/24 MY, the exports of grains and pulses totaled 50.8 mln tonnes: wheat – 18.4 mln tonnes, barley – 2.5 mln tonnes, rye – 1.6 thsd tonnes, corn – 29.4 mln tonnes, flour – 98.2 thsd tonnes.
