EU, Asia, and Africa remain key markets for Ukrainian corn exports in October
In October 2025, the European Union, Asia, and Africa remained the main destinations for Ukrainian corn exports, according to the Ministry of Economy’s AgroDigest monthly trade report. The EU accounted for 52.2% of total exports (491,200 tons), while 31.9% (300,400 tons) went to Asian markets and 15.9% (149,400 tons) to African countries.
Italy was the largest buyer of Ukrainian corn during the month, importing 263,100 tons (28% of total exports) at an average price of $205.6 per ton. Turkey ranked second with 168,800 tons (17.9%) at $209.8/t, followed by South Korea, which purchased 102,600 tons at $206.6/t.
Other top buyers included the Netherlands (82,800 tons; $200.2/t), Tunisia (60,000 tons; $209.2/t), Libya (58,000 tons; $203.6/t), Greece (47,800 tons; $218.9/t — the highest price among importers), Spain (46,400 tons; $211/t), Cyprus (46,300 tons; $210.4/t), and Egypt (31,400 tons; $204.8/t).
The average export price of Ukrainian corn in October varied significantly by destination — from $200.2/t in the Netherlands to $218.9/t in Greece, reflecting differences in logistics costs, demand, and quality preferences across markets.
