Egypt held a tender for the purchase of vegetable oil
On October 26, the State Agency for Food Procurement of Egypt (GASC) held tenders for the purchase of oil on foreign and domestic markets. This is reported by European traders.
The winner of the international tender was Aston, which will supply 14,000 tons of soybean oil at $1,587 per ton.
At the international tender, the following offers were made with delivery from December 10 to 30 on a C&F basis with payment within 180 days:
- Egyptian African Co. – 6 thousand tons of sunflower oil at $1,425 per ton;
- Belluno – 10,000 tons of sunflower oil for $1,494.9 per ton;
- Agric SA – 11,000 tons of sunflower oil for $1,485 per ton;
- Aston – 5.75 thousand tons of sunflower oil for $1497 per ton;
- Aston – 11,500 tons of sunflower oil at $1,495 per ton;
- Aston – 14,000 tons of soybean oil at $1,600 per ton.
Only one company participated in the domestic tender – Multitrade, which was ready to supply 3 thousand tons of soybean oil at 35,000 heg. pounds ($1772) per ton. The purchase did not take place.
