Egypt bought more than half a million tons of Russian wheat at the tender

On February 2, GASC purchased 535,000 t of Russian flour wheat based on C&F.

At the tender, the following were contracted:

• 180 thousand t at the Grainflower company (three batches of 40 thousand tons and one batch of 60 thousand tons) at a price of $323.4 per ton with delivery from February 26 to March 10;
• 60 thousand t at the Aston company at a price of $324.45 per ton with delivery from February 26 to March 10;
• 180 thousand t at the Grainflower company (three batches of 40 thousand tons and one batch of 60 thousand tons) at a price of $322.8 per ton with delivery from March 11 to 20;
• 60 thousand t at the Aston company at a price of $324.45 per ton with delivery from March 11 to 20;
• 55 thousand t at the Sierentz company at a price of $325.8 per ton with delivery from March 11 to 20.

The transaction must be approved by the World Bank, which finances the purchase.
