Egypt and Morocco became the biggest buyers of Ukrainian wheat in November 2021
November’s exports totaled almost 2.4 MMT (down 31% from October and twice as much as in November 2020/21) that is a record high for this month. Some 14.8 MMT has been exported this season (a record high for this time), or up 23% y-o-y, UkrAgroConsult reports.
In November, the highest volumes were shipped to Egypt and Morocco that made the latter one of the top 10 importers of Ukrainian wheat.
Saudi Arabia has purchased 592 KMT of Ukrainian wheat this marketing year, or four times as much as in the entire 2020/21 season.
The following countries stepped up purchases from last season: Indonesia (+20%), Egypt (+49%), Turkey (almost threefold), South Korea (+23%).
Lower demand is observed from the following importers: Pakistan (-15%), Bangladesh (-30%), Tunisia (6%), Morocco (-39%), Philippines (-27%).
