During the war, Ukraine restricted exports of buckwheat, rye and oats
Ukraine has limited exports of agricultural products, which may be in short supply. In particular, the export of buckwheat, rye and oats was stopped.
This was announced by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky on the air of the national telethon #UArazom.
“The relevant decision of the government to ensure food security in wartime requires a monthly review of balance sheets. Our ministry does this. And in those positions where we see a critical situation, we will limit exports. For example, now limited exports of buckwheat, important for bakery branches of rye, oats “, – Taras Vysotsky noted.
According to him, the government monitors the situation with products whose exports are subject to licensing. And it will not regulate the export of those goods that have accumulated significant balances in Ukraine.
“We are monitoring the situation in those positions where export licensing applies – it’s wheat, sugar. To understand how much they are exported, and not to export more than there is a surplus. For example, sunflower oil or corn, which we have enough , there is no regulation here “, – he explained.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy updates the balance sheets on a monthly basis and submits to the Cabinet of Ministers the issue of one or another regulation so that products are physically available, primarily for consumption by Ukrainians.
