Croatia’s wheat output flattish in 2022
The production of soft and hard wheat (winter, spring and seed) in Croatia edged up by an estimated 0.8% on the year in 2022, to 970,000 tonnes, the national statistical office said on Tuesday.
Winter barley and spring barley production rose by 4.2% to 319,000 tonnes last year, while sunflower production increased by 24.2% to 154,000 tonnes, the statistical office said in a statement, citing provisional data.
Production of maize decreased by an estimated 26.1% to 1.656 million tonnes, sugar beet production went down by 25.9% to 524,000 tonnes and rapeseed production dropped by 19.2% to 59,000 tonnes in 2022 compared to the previous year.
