Corn sowing started in Ukraine

As of mid-April, Ukrainian farmers have already sown 722.4 thou hectares of grains and pulses, including:
- spring barley – 436 thou hectares
- spring wheat – 142.8 thou hectares;
- peas – 84.7 thou hectares;
- oats – 53.6 thou hectares;
- millet – 0.7 thou hectares.
Agrarians in Sumy region started sowing corn, sowing 0.7 thou hectares.
Over the past week, a total of 102 thsd ha of grains and legumes were planted, with Volyn farmers leading the way with 19 thsd ha.
Agrarians in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy regions have started sowing sugar beet, 32.7 thou hectares have been planted.
Sunflower is being sown by farmers in Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, and Bukovyna regions, with 37.2 thou hectares planted.
