Corn sowing in France is very slow

According to the state agency FranceAgriMer, by April 29, sowing of corn in France was carried out only on 45% of the planned area, which is noticeably less than on the same date last year (54%) and on average for the last five years (70%).
The condition of winter crops in France is now worse than usual. The share of winter soft wheat in good to excellent condition does not exceed 63% (93% a year ago), winter durum wheat – 66% (88%), winter barley – 66% (92%).
