Corn harvest started in Ukraine
As of the end of September, grain and pulses crops were harvested on an area of 6 million 814 thousand hectares (61%) with a yield of 3.83 t/ha, 26.1 million tons of grain were threshed, including:
4.7 million hectares of wheat were threshed (99%), with a yield of 4.1 tons/ha, 19.2 million tons were threshed;
- barley – 1.6 million ha (100%), with a yield of 3.47 t/ha, 5.5 million tons were threshed;
- peas – 109.4 thousand ha (98%), with a yield of 2.29 tons/ha, 250.7 thousand tons were threshed;
- corn for grain – 39.4 thousand ha (0.9%), with a yield of 3.87 tons/ha, 152.8 thousand tons were threshed;
- buckwheat – 52.5 thousand ha (45%), with a yield of 1.46 tons/ha, 76.7 thousand tons were threshed;
- millet – 32.8 thousand ha (73%), with a yield of 2.25 tons/ha, 73.7 thousand tons were threshed.
Harvesting of sunflower and soybeans continues. Farmers collected sunflower on an area of 943 thousand hectares (20%), threshed 1 million 565 thousand tons of seeds with a yield of 1.66 tons/ha. Soy was harvested on an area of 153,000 hectares (10%), 375,000 tons were threshed with a yield of 2.45 tons/ha.
Sugar beets were dug up on an area of 21.3 thousand hectares (12%), 1 million tons of sweet roots were dug up with a yield of 48.4 t/ha.
Rapeseed harvesting was completed on an area of 1.1 million hectares (100%), 3.1 million tons of seeds were threshed with a yield of 2.88 tons/ha.
