Corn harvest slows in Argentina

The pace of corn harvesting in Argentina has slowed down due to rain, the Zerno On-Line agency reports, citing the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange.
By April 1, corn has been harvested from 20.3% of the area, which is more than a year earlier. 1.4 million hectares have been threshed, the average yield is 8.37 t/ha.
The start of the soybean harvest is delayed. The condition of soybean crops is now better than last year. 36% of crops are in good and excellent condition (32% a year ago), 41% are in satisfactory condition (45%), and 23% are in poor and very poor condition (23%).
The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange maintains its soybean harvest forecast at 48.6 million tons.
Further development of the grain sector in the Black Sea and Danube region will be discussed at the 23 International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN.KYIV on April 24 in Kyiv.
