Analysts of the Foreign Agricultural Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (FAS USDA) in China forecast soybean seed production in the country in MY 2024/25 at the level of 1.12 million tons, which is 3% below the level of the previous season. Demand for soybean seeds in China, according to the report, will decrease by 5% per year, to about 580 thousand tons. Brazil’s record soybean crop is expected to meet at least half of China’s demand in February-April and 20% in May-June.
