Bunge appoints Julio Garros as Chief Operating Officer
Julio Garros has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Bunge Global SA. Garros served as Co-COO alongside David Mattiske from April 2024 until Mattiske’s departure on December 12.
As COO, Garros leads Bunge’s global commercial operations, overseeing global commodity value chains, country and regional management teams, sustainability efforts, renewable fuels initiatives, regenerative agriculture solutions, as well as manufacturing operations and safety.
Since joining Bunge in 2002, Garros has held a number of leadership positions in finance, operations, and commercial transformation. In 2022, he was appointed Co-President of the Agribusiness Division, playing a key role in shaping and executing the company’s global commercial strategy, improving global manufacturing operations, and advancing advanced business solutions for farmers and end consumers worldwide.
He began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and worked as an auditor at the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Garros holds a bachelor’s degree from the National University of Mar del Plata and a master’s degree in finance, accounting, and economics from the University of Palermo.
