Bunge Announces Sale of North American Corn Crushing Business

Bunge Global SA has signed definitive agreements to sell its North American dry corn milling and corn meal business to Grain Craft, one of the largest independent flour producers in the United States. The transaction is part of a strategic review of Bunge’s assets and a focus on businesses more closely aligned with its global value chains.
The transaction includes a number of manufacturing operations located in the United States and Mexico, highlighting its importance to both the regional and international markets.
Geography and Scope
The sale includes Bunge operations in the following cities:
- Danville, Illinois;
- Worthington, Indiana;
- Crete, Neb.;
- Red Oak, Iowa;
- Muleshoe, Texas;
- Atchison, Kansas;
- Queretaro, Mexico.
These assets represented a significant share of the dry corn milling and corn meal market in North America.
Plans and Development
According to Julio Garros, Bunge’s co-chairman of agribusiness, the company has made a strategic decision to focus on other business segments that better align with its global growth strategy. The sale of Grain Craft assets will allow Bunge to optimize its portfolio and strengthen its positions in key sectors.
The transaction is expected to close upon receipt of necessary regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
