The forecast remained unchanged from the exchange’s September report. The exchange has not repeated this forecast in its reports since then, causing markets to question its position.

The report noted that additional rainfall is needed in the near term to support this forecast.

Recent rainfall has been uneven; additional precipitation is needed, particularly in southern Santa Fe Province and central-eastern Entre Rios Province.

The exchange forecasts 25-75 mm (1-3 inches) of rain in the northern agricultural center and up to 100 mm (3.9 inches) in central Santa Fe Province over the next seven days.

Another major Argentine grain exchange, Rosario, estimated the harvest at 48 million tonnes.

Argentina is a major exporter of soybean oil and soybean meal.

2025/26 Corn Crop:

The Buenos Aires Exchange forecast remains unchanged at 57 million tons.

Crop conditions have recently worsened.

Farmers “expect rains that will reverse the current situation.”
