Brazil’s soybean exports up 9% in July
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services, the country exported 12.3 million tons of soybeans in July 2025, up 9% from a year earlier.
At the same time, soybean export revenues fell 1.2% to $5 billion, as the average soybean price also fell 7.1%.
The increase in exports was influenced by a surge in purchases from China, which imported a record 11.67 million tons of soybeans in July, up 18.5% from a year earlier.
Brazil has displaced the United States as China’s top soybean supplier this season, and shipments are expected to continue to grow.
Brazil’s soybean production forecasts for the 2025/26 season are rising. Experts estimate the upcoming harvest at 177.2 million tons, which is 2.5% more than the record season of MY 2024/25. Exports are expected to amount to 110 million tons against 106 million tons last season.
