Brazil’s egg exports surge in February; U.S. buys 93% more

According to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein Producers (ABPA), Brazil’s egg exports (including fresh and processed products) increased by 57.5% in February. A total of 2,527 tons were shipped in the second month of the year, compared to 1,604 tons in the same period last year.
In terms of revenue, Brazilian egg shipments amounted to US$4.936 million, up 63.2% from the same period last year (US$3.024 million).
In the first two months, 4,884 tons were exported, up 38.2% from the same period last year (3,535 tons). Over the same period, export revenue increased by 41.8%, amounting to US$9.122 million in 2025, compared to US$6.433 million in 2024.
Main buyers of Brazilian eggs in February
- United Arab Emirates: 548 tons (-2.6% compared to the same period last year)
- USA: 503 tons (+93.4%)
- Chile: 299 tons (-8.9%)
- Mexico: 252 tons (newly opened market)
- Japan: 215 tons (+111.3%)
- Angola: 203 tons (resumed imports).
“Egg supplies continue to grow, especially due to demand from markets such as the US, Japan and Mexico. Although exports represent less than 1% of Brazil’s total production, the growth in exports demonstrates international confidence in the Brazilian production sector, whether for the quality of the product or the health of our poultry industry,” estimates ABPA President Ricardo Santin.
