Analysts at Abiove have raised the forecast for Brazil’s soybean production in the 2025/26 marketing year to a record 178.5 mln tons, up from 171.8 mln tons in the previous season. Export volumes are also expected to hit a record 111 mln tons, compared with 109.5 mln tons in 2025, according to experts.
A record is also anticipated in the processing segment: soybean crushing is projected at 60.5 mln tons, up from 58.5 mln tons last season. This will drive soybean meal production to 46.6 mln tons, versus 45.1 mln tons in MY 2024/25.
Soybean oil production in Brazil is forecast to reach a record 12.1 mln tons, up from 11.7 mln tons in the previous season. Exports of soybean oil may also set a new high at 24.6 mln tons, exceeding last year’s 23.6 mln tons.
Additionally, imports of soybean oil into the country are expected to reach a record 125 thsd tons, 25% higher than the previous year. Overall, Brazil’s soybean complex in MY 2025/26 is set to achieve maximum levels across all major segments.
