Brazil to increase corn exports by 18% in December
According to the forecasts of Safras&Mercado, in December Brazil can export up to 7.57 mln tonnes of corn, which is 18% higher than in the same month of 2022 (6.41 mln tonnes).
At the same time, 4.78 mln tonnes of the forecasted volume have already been shipped. In addition, according to the results of monitoring of the shipment schedule of Brazilian ports, 2.21 mln tonnes of corn are planned to be shipped by January 24.
According to the estimates of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Services of Brazil (MDIC), as of December 24, the export of Brazilian corn since the beginning of the current season reached 46.7 mln tonnes (+17% compared to the previous season).
