Brazil exported a record amount of soybeans since the beginning of the year
From January to July 2023, Brazil sold a record amount of soybeans to the foreign markets – more than 70 mln tonnes. It is reported by Merco Press with reference to the monitoring data of the national agricultural agency Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab).
According to the experts, about 90% of the oilseed (62.3 mln tons) was shipped to China in the reporting period. Supplies in this direction increased by 15%.
“It is also specified that the export of Brazilian soybeans in July amounted to 9.7 mln tonnes,” – Conab said.
By the end of the year (August-December), according to the industry agency, Brazil will export more than 25 mln tonnes of beans. Thus, in 2023, the country will export 95.6 mln tonnes of oilseeds, up 21% compared to 2022.
