Brazil exported 14.7 million tons of soybeans in April, slightly more than last year, while the country’s soybean meal shipments remained at very high levels, Fastmarkets analysis of official customs data showed.
On the Brazilian market in Paranagua, June futures contracts were priced at a premium of 13 cents a bushel to the CME July futures contract.
In the U.S., the price of June Gulf futures FOB for June delivery was assessed at 52 cents per bushel over CME July futures, stable day-to-day, while the Pacific Northwest FOB price was unchanged at 138 cents per bushel over the same benchmark contract.
The June contract for FOB delivery in Argentina continued to be priced at a discount of 12 cents per bushel compared to the July CME futures contract.
