Astarta is the second largest exporter of soybean oil and meal in Ukraine

The agri-industrial holding Astarta-Kyiv supplied 900 thou. t of agricultural commodities to foreign markets from Ukraine in 2021. The company’s export revenue grew 6% YoY, to EUR 185 mln.
As reported, Astarta is one of the major exporters of soybean products from Ukraine in the reporting period. In terms of corn supply, Astarta is the 8th-largest exporter.
“Astarta exported agricultural commodities to 50 countries. The main consumers of corn were China and the European Union, wheat — Egypt, Indonesia, Asia and Africa. Rapeseed was exported mainly to the United Arab Emirates and barley to China,” the company says in a statement.
Soybean oil and soybean meal, produced at the Globyno Processing Plant, was supplied to the markets of China, the European Union and the CIS.
Previously reported that the world soybean oil output is expected to reach USD 60 bln by 2028.
Soybean production in Ukraine in 2021/22 totalled 3.43 mln t on 1.28 mln ha. The average yield stood at 2.68 t/ha.
