Argentina’s wheat harvest to reach record 25.5 mln tons
This year, Argentina’s wheat harvest could reach 25.5 million tons, surpassing the 2021/2022 season’s record of 22.4 million tons, according to the Zerno On-Line agency, citing the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange.
33.9% of the wheat acreage has already been threshed. The yield exceeds expectations, reaching 35.9 centners per hectare.
The frosts at the end of October last year caused less damage than expected, both in terms of the area affected and the extent of the damage. Good soil moisture levels helped mitigate the impact of the low temperatures.
