Argentina’s grain and oilseed exports could reach a four-year high in the MY 2024/25

Argentina’s grain and oilseed production could reach 143 million tons in the 2024/25 season under normal weather conditions. In turn, this could spur export volumes to a four-year high, the Rosario Grain Exchange predicts.
Under normal weather conditions, exports of soybeans, corn, wheat and other crops could rise to 101.5 million tons. This is the highest figure since the 2020-2021 crop year, Reuters writes, citing the exchange’s report.
With insufficient rainfall, the harvest this season could fall to 128.8 million tons, the exchange warns.
Soil moisture is now sufficient in key agricultural regions of Argentina, but there is a severe lack of rain in the west and north. Soybean planting will start in October, corn sowing is already underway.
