Argentina Raises Domestic Biofuel Prices
The Argentinean government has recently increased prices for biofuels for chemical blending, following two regulations published in the official newspaper.
The Secretariat of Energy, which reports to the Ministry of Economy, has set the price of bioethanol based on cane at 800.043 pesos per liter (about 0.63 US dollars), equal to previous 792.122 pesos per liter.
The price of corn-based bioethanol increased to 733.26 pesos per liter from 726 pesos before the announcement.
The price for biodiesel when mixed with diesel fuel was set at 1,302,411 pesos per metric ton, or more than 1,276,874 pesos.
The new prices will remain in effect until “transactions occurring during 2025 and until the publication of a new price to replace them,” and will be based on the date of their publication. in the official newsletter, available from the application to the Energy Secretariat.
