Argentina cut soybean meal exports by 33% in February
In February, Argentina shipped 1.33 million tonnes of soybean meal to foreign markets, down 33% from January (2.01 million tonnes) and 27% from February 2025 (1.82 million tonnes), according to Oil World (Germany).
Last month, exports to the European Union decreased by 0.27 million tonnes (0.46 and 0.34 million tonnes previously) and to Asian countries by 0.58 million tonnes (1 and 0.84 million tonnes, respectively). However, shipments to Indonesia and Turkey increased.
Overall, Argentina has exported 10.87 million tonnes since the start of the 2025/26 marketing year, compared to 11.78 million tonnes in October-February of the previous season.
