Area under soybean cultivation in Ukraine decreased by more than 200 thsd ha
 
        				        			The projected area for soybean cultivation in Ukraine is 2.4 mln ha, which is 226,200 hectares less than the actual area sown in 2024. This is stated in a report by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
As of June 5, 2025, 2.3 mln ha, or 97% of the forecast, have been sown.
“Soybeans were sown in 20 regions. The largest areas were sown in Rivne (102.7%) and Ternopil (100.9%) regions,” the ministry said.
Farmers in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Kirovohrad, Odesa, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernihiv regions have sown all the forecast areas.
