Another ship with Ukrainian grain has arrived in Africa
Another ship with Ukrainian grain has arrived in Africa, in Sudan. The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine informs about this in its Telegram channel.
“The bulk carrier Seaeagle arrived in Sudan with 65,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat. It left the port of Chornomorsk on August 26,” the message says.
Since the beginning of the implementation of the “grain initiative”, 16 ships with almost 500,000 tons of Ukrainian food have already been sent to African countries.
In particular, two vessels with more than 60,000 tons of grain were chartered by the World Food Program (WFP) of the United Nations for countries suffering from a food crisis.
Thanks to UN partners, another 190,000 tons of grain were purchased for further export to Africa.
And as of September 12, 9 vessels with 163.8 thousand tons of agricultural products left the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdenny as part of the implementation of the “grain initiative”. They are heading to countries in Asia and Europe, the ministry reports.
