Algeria will reduce wheat imports to 8 mln tons in this season
In the season 2024/2025 (July 2024-June 2025), Algeria will import 8.0 mln tons of wheat, which is 0.6 mln tonnes less than last season’s record. This is stated in the report of the Foreign Agricultural Service under the USDA (FAS USDA).
The domestic wheat harvest in Algeria will remain at the level of last season – 2.075 mln tons.
Barley imports will increase to 600 thsd tons, up 100 thsd tons compared to last season.
