Algeria held a tender for the purchase of wheat

According to preliminary data, the Algerian state-owned company OAIC purchased 500-930 thsd tonnes of soft wheat at the tender held on December 12 at the price of $273 on C&F basis. It was reported by Reuters.
According to traders, the purchased wheat is mainly of Black Sea origin. A small amount is contracted with French suppliers.
Under the terms of the tender, the shipment will take place in three batches in the periods of February 1-15, February 16-29, March 1-15, March 16-31, 2024, or one month earlier than the specified periods, subject to delivery from South America or Australia.
