Air India, Indian Oil sign MoU for SAF supplies

Air India and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the supply of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), marking a major step towards a greener future for Indian aviation.
Through the MoU, Air India, a Tata Group company, and IOCL have outlined their shared commitment to facilitating the adoption of low-carbon fuels in aviation, supporting global decarbonisation goals and facilitating the transition to more sustainable air transport operations.
As part of its wider strategy to achieve IATA Net Zero by 2050 and fulfil its CORSIA commitments, Air India has been aggressively pursuing initiatives in operational efficiency, carbon reduction and now SAF. This MoU marks a major step in expanding its sustainable aviation portfolio.
