74 million tons of cargo passed through the Ukrainian Black Sea corridor: most of it was agricultural products

From January to September 2024, Ukrainian seaports handled 74 million tons of cargo, which is significantly more than in the same period last year, when the volume was 41.1 million tons.
This is stated in the message of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority on Facebook.
“A significant part of the cargo turnover – 46.3 million tons – is made up of agricultural products, which emphasizes its importance for the national economy and exports,” the agency said.
They added that September 2024 showed an increase in handled cargo to 7 million tons, which is almost twice as much as in September last year, when 3.4 million tons were handled.
“The agricultural sector remains the leader in exports, in particular, 4.1 million tons of agricultural products were delivered to international markets in September,” the USPA summarized.
