60 thousand tons of grain destroyed by Russians were to be sent to China – Zelenskyy
The port in Chornomorsk was attacked by the Russians, where 60 thousand tons of grain intended for shipment to China were destroyed.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening video address.
He emphasized that last night’s attack on Odesa region was perhaps the largest “attempt by Russia to inflict pain on Odesa” during the entire full-scale war.
The President emphasized that thanks to air defense, the consequences of the attack were less than they could have been.
According to him, the ports that were attacked today store about a million tons of food – the volume of products that should have been delivered to consumer countries in Africa and Asia long ago.
“The port terminal, which suffered the most from Russian terror last night, stored 60 thousand tons of agricultural products intended for shipment to China. That is, everyone is affected by Russian terror,” the Head of State said.
He added that priority repairs have already begun in the communities affected by the strikes last night.
