Pace of export sales of American wheat is 13% higher than last year

From the beginning of the current season to March 27, American exporters sold 21.24 million tons of wheat on foreign markets, which is 13% more than in the same period last season, which ended on May 31, 2024. This was reported by the Zerno On-line agency with reference to the US Department of Agriculture.
16.4 million tons of wheat have already been exported from the country (+15% compared to the same period last season), incl. to Mexico – 2.99 million tons, to the Philippines – 2.16 million tons, to the Republic of Korea – 1.92 million tons, to Japan – 1.68 million tons.
According to forecasts of the US Department of Agriculture, the export of wheat for the entire season can reach 22.725 million tons, which is 18% more than last season, but less than the average five-year indicator of 23.0 million tons.
