Algeria Purchases Black Sea Wheat at Tender

On March 12, the Algerian state company OAIC purchased 450 thousand tons of soft wheat of any origin at a tender. This was reported by the Zerno On-Line agency with reference to European traders. The purchase price was $268.5 C&F per ton.
The wheat will be delivered in two periods: May 1-15 and May 16-31. When delivered from South America or Australia, the dates are shifted a month earlier.
According to traders, the purchased grain will be delivered mainly from the Black Sea countries, including Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria.
Some traders believe that the purchase volume is 650 thousand tons.
Further development of the grain sector in the Black Sea and Danube region will be discussed at the 23 International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN.KYIV on April 24 in Kyiv.
