11 million tons of Ukrainian grain were exported
The export volume of grains and pulses from Ukraine in 2023/24 MY as of November 15 amounted to 10.97 mln tonnes, down 4.6 mln tonnes or 30% compared to the same period last season. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, since the beginning of the season, 5.2 mln tons of wheat have been shipped, which is 12% less than last year.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 749 thsd tonnes, down 41% year-on-year.
Rye was shipped in 0.9 thsd tonnes (-92%).
Ukraine exported 4.9 mln tons of corn, down 3.4 mln tons or 41% from the same date last season.
Ukraine exported 46 thsd tonnes of flour, which is the same as last year.
For reference, in 2022/23 MY the exports of grains and pulses totaled 49 mln tonnes: wheat – 16.8 mln tonnes, barley – 2.7 mln tonnes, rye – 18 thsd tonnes, corn – 29.1 mln tonnes, flour – 153.6 thsd tonnes.
