Canada requested consultations with China before the WTO

The government of Canada has requested the World Trade Organization (WTO) to hold consultations with China’s representatives regarding a ban on Canadian canola supplies to this country.
China is the world’s biggest importer of canola that is a Canadian genetically modified rape variety used for producing vegoil with low content of erucidic acid. Oilseeds are one of Canada’s main exports to China, reports UkrAgroConsult.
