Ukraine. Output of grain products decreased in MY 2019/20
Output of the following grain products has been steadily decreasing since the start of MY 2019/20:
- flour (-4% year-on-year in January 2020, -1% year-on-year in July-January 2019/20),
- bread and bakery products (-11%, -12%),
- macaroni products (-13%, -12%),
- groats and coarse flour from soft wheat and spelt (-12%, -14%).
Feed production this season has been steadily exceeding last year’s figures (+2%).
January witnessed a slump in output of semi-hulled, hulled or broken rice (-66%), but its total volume in July-January 2019/20 was up 30% year-on-year, UkrAgroConsult reports.
